Shipping Policy
At this time, we only ship within the United States.
Our default shipping method is USPS ground- which can take 1-5 days to arrive once the postal service has the package in its possession. Please note, the times we list are a guideline and not a guarantee. Delays due to harsh weather, holidays, natural disasters, postal strikes, etc. are not within our control. Affordable Avian does not make any representations to the speed of arrival once the package has left our possession.
It is our policy to ship standard shipments the next business day from the day of ordering. In normal situations, a package ordered on a Friday will be shipped the following Monday. Please note that a package may occasionally be shipped out on the same day the order is placed. Friday packages can occasionally (depending on the time of day the order was placed) ship the same day or on a Saturday. Again, this is not a guarantee.
Shipping labels generated by us to and from our lab have tracking numbers assigned to them. A prepaid testing kit will have a return label prepaid and will include tracking. These packages are set to standard shipping by default. If you choose to have your package(s) expedited, the option is there for you to select. If no shipping is selected, the default of standard ground via USPS will be chosen for you.
If you would like overnight or 2 day shipping to and from you, and/or your tests to be completed within 24 hours of receipt- those options are available for you to select at an optional upcharge rate.
Shipping Policy - Lost or Damaged Shipments
As we outlined above, Affordable Avian is not responsible for packages once they have left our facilities. We will not replace or refund kits or packages that have been damaged or lost by the Postal Service. In the event of damage or loss, you will need to contact the appropriate carrier with the tracking number provided to you, and file a claim with them.
If your kit is lost and you provide proof of a claim filed with the correct shipping service, we will replace the contents of the kit at no additional charge. The customer will be responsible for paying the return shipping fee.
If this option is not acceptable, we may offer a lab credit for TESTING ONLY (shipping, tax, and other optional fees will not be credited) to be used by the customer at a later date.
