All diagnostic testing offered by Affordable Avian is intended strictly for research, screening, and informational purposes only. These tests are not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, nor are they approved for clinical or regulatory use. By submitting samples to Affordable Avian, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms and limitations:

Diagnostic Limitations

- A negative test result indicates that the target organism was not detected in the sample submitted, using the methods and technologies employed at the time of testing. - Test results are limited to the specific sample received and do not guarantee the health status of the animal beyond that point in time. - Factors such as sample quality, improper collection, shipping conditions, and the stage of infection can affect test accuracy. - Affordable Avian makes no guarantee of accuracy or completeness and shall not be held responsible for false positives, false negatives, or inconclusive results.

Veterinary Responsibility

- All results should be interpreted by a licensed veterinarian familiar with the species and clinical context. - Test results should not be used to make medical decisions or initiate treatment without veterinary oversight. - Affordable Avian does not provide veterinary care, diagnosis, or treatment advice.

Regulatory and Reporting Requirements

- It is your sole responsibility to be aware of and comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations concerning the reporting of infectious or regulated diseases. - If your test results indicate or suggest the presence of a reportable disease (e.g., Chlamydia psittaci, avian influenza, Newcastle disease), you must notify your State Veterinarian, Department of Agriculture, or the USDA APHIS immediately. - Affordable Avian does not report test results to government agencies on your behalf.

Release of Liability

By submitting a sample for testing, you agree to release and hold harmless Affordable Avian, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, damages, or losses that may arise directly or indirectly from the use or interpretation of test results, including but not limited to: - Death or illness of an animal - Spread of disease within a flock or aviary - Financial losses related to breeding, sales, travel, or exhibition - Regulatory consequences due to unreported or unmanaged disease presence. Affordable Avian makes no warranties, express or implied, and assumes no responsibility for the outcome of any testing, actions taken based on test results, or failure to act on results. Additionally: Sample Collection & Labeling Policy

To ensure accurate and safe testing, all samples must be properly collected, clearly labeled, and securely packaged. Improperly handled samples may pose a biohazard risk and will not be processed.

Requirements:

• Use clean tools and gloves when collecting samples

• Place each sample in a sealed, leak-proof container (vial, tube, envelope)

• Clearly label each sample with the bird’s name or ID, species, and sample type

• Complete and include a submission form with all samples

• Use padding or envelopes to prevent damage during transit
  

Important:

• Do not send wet, leaking, unlabeled, or contaminated samples

• Do not reuse packaging that previously contained live animals or waste

• Improperly labeled or packaged samples will be discarded and will not be tested

• No refunds or credits will be issued for samples deemed unsafe or unusable
  

Affordable Avian reserves the right to refuse testing of any sample that does not meet our biosafety standards.

Agreement to Terms

Submission of any sample constitutes acknowledgment and agreement to the above terms. If you do not agree with these conditions, do not submit samples for testing.
