Pigeon Adenovirus Test
Rapid detection of one of the most destructive viral threats to young and adult pigeons.
Pigeon Adenovirus comes in two dangerous forms—Type I and Type II—and both can cause serious illness, especially when combined with other infections like circovirus or E. coli.
Our Adenovirus test screens for both types, giving pigeon owners and breeders the tools they need to protect their lofts before outbreaks spread.
Why Test for Adenovirus?
Type I (Young Bird Adenovirus)
Common in squabs and juveniles. Symptoms include vomiting, watery droppings, and weight loss. Often part of Young Bird Disease Syndrome (YBDS).Type II (Necrotizing Hepatitis)
Affects pigeons of all ages. Known for sudden death and severe liver damage. Can wipe out entire lofts without warning.Frequently co-occurs with other pathogens, intensifying severity and spread.
