Our test kit will provide you everything you need to collect blood samples from your chicken(s), directions for collection, packaging, and next steps. The price of this kit will test ONE bird.  Please order multiples of this kit if you wish to test multiple birds or order the 10 pack for a small discount when you buy in bulk.

This kit will determine if your chicken carries lavender feather genes. Blood samples are the only reliable method to test for lavender gene(s). The test can not tell how many copies of the gene the bird carries- only that it does carry the gene.

Included in the kit price:
-Directions for proper sample collection and packaging/labeling
-Lancet (s) for the purpose of collecting blood sample(s)
-Nail clippers to use as an alternative to the lancet(s) for clipping toenail
-Collection papers to drop blood samples onto.
-All packaging for each specimen to stay labeled clearly and free from mixing or contamination
-Alcohol swabs
-Shipping package and prepaid return label
-Notifications: when your kit is shipped to you, when your kit is received by our lab, and emailed results of the test(s)

The testing kit cost covers testing for the number of tests purchased. The kits may contain extra testing materials in case you need them. If more  samples are received than the number of purchased, you will be contacted for payment arrangements.
